Went to the outlet at HK Station (Central) on 1 July. Woke up especially early that day to beat the long queue and had originally wanted to try the outlet at Sham Shui Po, But it was raining heavily that morning and so changed location to Central instead. It turned out to be such a disappointment. The menu selection is so limited there. As porridge was not available at the outlet, I ordered glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leaves which tasted lukewarm and rice was quite hard. Seemed like it was steamed in a hurry. The second dish which was the taro(yam) cake with fish paste fared no better. The pieces of yam were half-cooked and fish paste tasted odd and not fresh at all. The other item, prawn dumplings or Har Kau, were just mediocre. Nothing to rave about.

The whole dinning experience was made worse with their attendants/waitresses who were brusque and scowling all the time. Even the service captain was sternly giving commands to patrons on their seat allocation. Patrons were packed in rows like sardines dining in discomfort and my bill was erroneously overcharged on certain items.

The whole experience was such a huge let-down I regretted waking up so early on a rainy day just to have sub-standard dim sum. Simply not worth my time and effort. The food is certainly too overrated as other dim sum outlets I’ve tried in HK easily top in terms of food quality and service standards.
