The bridal shop I went to on the basement floor of Golden Plaza left such a distasteful experience that I am reluctant to ever set foot in the whole plaza!

I really liked the style of several bridal gowns and the shop lady offered to help me try them on. I had not done much shopping for my wedding gown yet, so I did not know which style would suit me. The shop lady was very good at helping me narrow things down according to my body shape really quickly by giving me suggestions based on my body type. I decided to look at a few more shops around the area as I had heard that once paid for, the gowns from the stores at Golden Plaza do not end up as expected. The material and design of the final product would not the same as the one in the store. Of course, I only told the shop lady I would come back to the store the next day to make a final decision as I needed some time for consideration. She tried to take off an extra 1000HKD off of the original 5680HKD price to convince me to buy it right away, assuming that I wanted a lower price. I told her that it was not the issue of the price, but because it was a decision of a lifetime, I needed more time to think it over. Instantly, her attitude and the attitude of the shop owner changed dramatically! Their false nice appearance became ugly in a split second! They started telling me how I lied to them about wanting a wedding gown and how my aunt was a horrible mother who should never have kids! They cursed our ‘lack of education’ which was laughable and made very ugly comments about us personally. They made such a scene that the customers in the shop decided to leave and watch it unfold from outside the store! Although I really did like the gown, because of the lack of ettiquette and verbal abuse of the owner and the shop lady, I would not purchase a gown from the store. I would rather pay a few thousand HKD more for good treatment and a good experience in purchasing a gown for my special day. I believe wedding gown shopping is supposed to be a fun and happy experience where people aren’t treated like dirt! This shop owner also happens to own the other bridal gown shops in the basement of Golden Plaza as well, so I highly recommend anyone who likes an overdose of poor ettiquette and verbal abuse to shop there!
